Hi Again Everybody,
Jill's surgery is over and she is doing very well. The tumor was removed by very limited "wedge" resection rather than by the much bigger procedure to remove the entire stomach. The tissue at the edges was negative for remaining tumor which means that the surgery was a success and she goes home with most her stomach intact.
She will not have a stomach tube tonight and should be able to swallow sips tomorrow. She is just getting to Recovery now and I haven't seen her yet. Couldn't wait to send this spectacular news. More to follow but OK to celebrate with and for us.
